Our history: our journey has taken us from market-stall, to global distributor!

Founded in the 1960s
The company was founded by Ray Taylor as a market stall in Romford, Essex in the 1960’s selling sport related clothing
Ray Taylor Sports
The opening of Ray Taylor Sports in 1983, a cash-and-carry warehouse run as a family business with Ray’s daughters Jill and Jan was the start of the now extensive Wholesale experience of supplying sports goods to retailers
Branded Merchandise
With the surge in popularity of football in the 90’s the focus moved to football merchandise and on Ray’s retirement at the end of the decade the business was split into Retail and Wholesale with Jill and her husband Marko running the latter. Following this, partnerships were formed with some of the largest licensees in the branded merchandise industry and Taylors Football Souvenirs was born...
Ground-Breaking Direct Dispatch
In 2005, a ground-breaking drop shipping service was introduced, and the business began to offer its market leading ‘Direct Dispatch’ which is still offered today. An online solution enabling retailers to offer the ever-growing range without the need to hold stock
Expansion
Fast forward to 2014, and Taylors Football Souvenirs moved to a purpose-built warehouse in the Yorkshire dales. The natural progression of the business resulted in entertainment licenses being added to the portfolio bringing together the current extensive range of over 6,000 SKU’s of branded merchandise in one place
What's Next...
As of 2021, the business has evolved and rebranded to Taylors Merchandise introducing a brand new mobile friendly website. Next goal is to increase the stock holding variety and bring further automation and website integration to our client base
